LITTLE CHEERFUL
(If you don't, who will?)
Who We Are
Little Cheerful came into business by a man, a woman, and their son after owning a restaurant for 13 years in
California. When they opened Little Cheerful, having an upbeat community was on their mind without being
pretentious. All of the food prepared is homemade that comes from local sources, creating customer favorites
such as the California omelette, crab cakes, and the famous farmer’s skillet concoction.
Along with the local foods, much of the artwork on display comes from the local community and really has no
constant theme. The boat hanging from the ceiling adds a unique twist to the atmosphere and ironically the Charlie Chaplin images put a sad face on a happy business. Spread along the walls are works from local artists create a small community board advertising their artwork sale.
The cafe gives back just as much to the community as the community provides for them. Every monday for the past six years, Little Cheerful has served the homeless community with a soup kitchen between November and March. Each monday, approximately 100-150 homeless are served warm, comforting soup to feed their hunger and warm them during the cold months.
Why We're Here
We do take our cooking very seriously, and we have always practiced safe cooking here at The little Cheerful using plenty of condiments. We are living proof that there is absolutely no substitute for genuine lack of preparation. Once, however, we realized that indecision was the key to our flexibility, things became more like they are today than they ever were before. And when we came to the brutal realization that we were spending one-seventh of our lives on Mondays, we began to understand why we should always try to keep things as simple as possible, but no simpler.
We have gone over these facts extensively, and have come to the conclusion that although they are very interesting, they are basically irrelevant. Having seen the truth, we now realize that it makes little to no sense.
